Mumbai Outdoors: One day Trek to Gorakhgad (Till Top) to 06th Sept. 2015


Hello Friends,

We are glad to invite you for Thrilling Trek to Gorakhgad till top on 6th September 2015.
Fort Gorakhgad is quite small in size. It was having strategic importance during the reign of Shahaji Raje. However, no major battle is recorded to have taken place here. It was used in Shivaji's era to patrol the nearby region and was used as a stopover station during the journey to Junnar via Naneghat. Though small in size, there is enough availability water and a lot of space for accommodation. The fort gets its name from Saint Gorakhnath, who performed his "Sadhana" in this place.

Trek Itinerary:

Meeting Point: 07.00 am @ Kalyan Station (Platform No. 01) on Sunday 06th September 2015
  • 07.00 am : Move to Dehari
  • 09.30 am : Tea and Breakfast
  • 10:30 am : Start Trek.
  • 01:30 am : Reach the Top.
  • 02.00 pm : Explore ,lunch and rest.
  • 03.30 pm : Descend.
  • 05.00 pm : Base
  • 07.00 pm : Move to Mumbai    
                                                                                            
The cost for the trek is Rs. 600/-
Includes 
Transportation from Kalyan to Kalyan, breakfast,and Evening refreshments etc....

Here is a list of all the things that we need to carry:
1. A haversack to put in all the things to be carried. So that one has hands free while trekking.
2. A bottle of water (1.5 ltr).
3. Camera (Optional), Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry.
4. Electoral / Energy powder, 2 Lemon, some snacks & biscuits (optional).
5. Torch with extra batteries.
6. Personal medicines & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution, mosquito’s cream.
7. A good trekking shoes.
8. Bedding, extra pair of cloths.

We are glad to invite you for one day Trek to Irshalgad on 30th August 2015.
 Irshalgad is a fort situated in the Karjat region. The name Irshalgad itself ia a misnomer; Irshal is not a fort but a pinnacle. This is the reason why it hardly figures anywhere in history. Shivaji Maharaj captured the vomplete region of Kalyan and Bhiwandi, up to Rairi in May 1666. This fort too, must have come under the Maratha rule at that time.

Thrilling Waterfall Rappelling @ Vihi on Sunday,30th August 2015 with Mumbai Outdoors

     We are offering one more adventurous event, lets do the waterfall rappelling and Flying fox in this monsoon, with us..
     with our team of specialists, who have done rappelling at various spots in sahyadri, including famous kokankada, dukes nose, and waterfalls like Vihi, bhivpuri, mahuli and many more...

Waterfall Rappelling Also technically known as canyoning and canyoneering  are more often associated with technical descents those that require rappels (abseils) and rope work, down-climbing. An adventure sport, where you walk down a cliff amidst the gushing waterfall

We, Mumbai Outdoors invite you for waterfall rappelling event at Bekre Waterfall, Bhivapuri on 23rd August, 2015 (Sunday).

Grade: Thrilling (Medium Technical)
Maximum Participation: 40-50 participants (First Come First Preference Basis)

4. Do not destroy/ write on archaeological or historical monuments.
5. Chewing Tobacco, Consumption of Cigarette and Alcohol is strictly not being permitted during the event. Anyone found in possession of the same or consuming it will be expelled from the trek. No REFUND will be provided.
6. The ‘Leader’s’ decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.
7. Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.
8. In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death, Bike accident or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; Mumbai Outdoors, it’s instructors, organizers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims (any kind) of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.
9. It is of utmost importance that all participants stick together in the group.
10. Mumbai Outdoors reserves the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice. No arguments or refunds will be entertained.
11. Adventure activity is arranged considering normal weather. In case of occurrence of any natural calamities, if event is cancelled, in such circumstances NO REFUND will be provided.
